The Limpopo province is situated at the North Eastern corner of South Africa and is literally the gateway to the rest of Africa. This region shares international borders with Botswana to the west and north-west, Zimbabwe to the north and Mozambique and a large part of the Kruger National Park to the east.

Limpopo has a wide climatic variation that offers pleasant climates for most of the year. In summer this region can get quite hot with temperatures averaging around 27 ºC. In the winter there are chilly mornings, warm middays, dry afternoons and cold nights.

The N1 route from Johannesburg runs through the province and is one of the busiest overland routes in Africa in terms of cross border trade in raw materials. Africa’s busiest port, located in Durban, as well as those located in Richard’s Bay and Maputo is served directly by the Limpopo province. Another magnificent facility in this region is the Gateway International Airport situated in Polokwane, the capital of the province.
